The cardboard gets a little warped in humid environments but I don't think I've seen it totally fail. The absolutely roached visors I pulled from the '93 were rotten fabric-wise but the cardboard was simply a bit warped.

Even the super clean '94 I just bought, which lived almost its entire life in TX, the headliner still looks GREAT (thankfully) but the visors are showing wear. The angled part is droopy and there's a few small holes where the material has gone rotten.

Thanks for sharing. Is grey the most popular color? I have always gone for the red interiors.
Gray interior was available with most of the exterior colors. We've had 2 different '99 Burbs, both LT trim, built in Mexico, both Pewter Metallic outside. First one had tan/neutral interior, one we currently have has gray interior. Crew Cab has tan/neutral interior, but the sun visors from Burb #1 are already in Burb #2.... So I got a passenger side from an Escalade at the yard(they all have the deluxe cloth covered visors in tan). The driver's side in that Escalade was okay, but I was pretty broke so I just got the passenger side. Was gonna go back later, we all know how that goes, right? So the driver's side in the Crew Cab is just getting worse, so my last yard trip, I found a decent tan one in a Burb.
The tan and gray look very close (especially if the vehicle was smoked in!)... until you put them side by side. Crew Cab headliner is toast so it'll get redone at some point, along with some insulation. Rain or falling acorns sound really loud in the cab....

Guys the drivers side visor has my garage door opener and my haggerty insurance card that is it and my 1993 Sun visors look new.

Maybe they get messed up because some people put all sorts of stuff on them and the extra handling of them???

Seems like riding around with the windows down a lot (like over several years) can tear up headliners and loosen the fabric from the backing. Maybe same applies to sun visors?
