Another problem with my k1500 my plug to my vapor canister is missing (light blue plug) and the vacuum elbo is plugged with a screw. I’m having a vacuum leak somewhere and I’m trying to track it down. Just curious of I need to go to a pick in pull and tear apart a wiring harness to find this plug or if I can find it online somewhere thanks in advance.

Take out that bolt you have on that vacuum hose on that little round canester. It is supposed to be open. That is the vent for your gas tank. It pulls the fumes out of the gas tank after the charcoal canister. It is where the charcoal canister vents to. You need to plug the wiring harness back into it too.

The plug from the harness is missing that’s what I’m trying to figure out Can I find one online or do I need to rip apart a harness from a pick n pull?

Yeah, you may need one from the junk yard. Here are pics of mine, if that helps you. The last pic is an old pic, before I started polishing under the hood, and before I installed the valve covers

I'm getting strong fuel fumes in the cab all of a sudden during stops (truck running at idle at a stoplight or stop sign); I suspect the fumes are coming from the vapor canister. When I open the fuel cap, pressure is released. I have a 355 crate engine with an aftermarket intake and aftermarket fuel injection system. The vapor line from the canister to the intake is no longer hooked up because there's no longer anywhere to run it. There have been zero fuel fumes since the engine swap about 6 months ago, up until the last day or two; the issue just started. I suspect a bad fuel cap; any other ideas?
