Be careful on the "326 block". They don't all have the same bore size. First year or two or three was bigger.

I built one out of square stock to run in my 383 and it worked great. I may have gone overboard but I wanted to make sure it would work with whatever direction I wanted to go for an engine.

I could sleeve a bigger engine. It's all the same on paper!
