Trying to do ALL of the "while you're at its"

That can be a very deep rabbit hole...

Replacing intake manifold gaskets?
While your at it, why not freshen up and port match the heads?
While your at it, why not just replace the heads?
While your at it, why not 383 the bottom end?
While your at it, why not just sell the current motor and swap in a new crate motor?
While your at it, how about an NV4500 or 4l80E swap?
While your at it, how about a fresh coat of paint?
While your at it, how about a complete frame off restoration......

you get it :)

Yep that's how I ended up going from intake leak and possible rod knock to frame off ls swap rebuild everything

For some unknown reason I’ll do ball joints and end up rebuilding the whole front suspension.

I went from an overheating issue (blown head gaskets) to $8K in parts and components, no labor costs, my son and I did all of the work.

A simple... oh I’ll buy it for $600 and rebuild the engine to get it going Turned into a year long backyard refurbish to last a minimum 10 years...
