Lately my truck is shifting from 2HI into 4HI by itself. This happens on the first drive of the day after pulling out of the driveway within about 50-100ft. Pressing the 2HI button successfully shifts back. It doesn't do it on the way home, just that first drive of the day regardless of temp, time, or weather. It happened once a few days ago, now it does it every time.
Any ideas?

Run that by one more time. The RFI from a garage door opener was generating enough frequency to actuate switches and relays? Who built it ? Nicholas Tesla? Just removing from truck the problem stopped immediately?

Problem solved.
It was my garage door opener in the storage compartment under the stereo, right next to the 4x4 switch. The radio signal must have been enough to activate the switches.

That makes no sense. There's got to be something else going on.

Your 4x4 switches aren't in the dash?
