My k2500 has an old draw tite brand (that is what the sticker says) that may be from 1999 as far as I know.

I had a new Tekonsha on my last new f150 (2013-2017) and it worked fine.

Both worked/work great. I spend more time/energy making sure that my trailer brake pads are adjusted correctly and stuff, which might make the brake controller less of a potential issue.

Want a fun experiment? Walk around a camp ground and ask people how they adjusted their brake pads last time. The confused looks you will get. :)

Well I ordered the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty. I like the hidden mounting, and I will put the control portion in one of the empty switch locations on the dash. From everything I read, people were pleased with it so I'll give it a shot.

I did the redarc tow pro. Haven't used it yet but the install was definitely clean. My 7 blade I drilled into the bumper. When I get a new bumper I'm getting a multi tow and mounting that to my new b&w hitch I just installed. *Had to edit this. Apparently my phone auto corrected to another word....

I haven't actually done the install yet, I didn't realize the controller didn't come with the pigtail/connector. So I ordered that and it should be here shortly. However looks like my truck did previously have a brake controller, so all the wires are already ran. I just have to connect to them and everything should be golden.

Well, it's installed. I picked up a dump trailer this morning(rental) while waiting for the pigtail to come in. It's completely mounted, just waiting to calibrate when I start driving.

The main box wasn't mounted at this time, but you can see where I mounted the knob/controls. Not the ideal location, due to the thickness of the plastic at that spot I guess, but it works.
