Does anyone tow with lager than stock tires?

I picked up a 98 K2500 454 4L80E 410s and was thinking of stepping up the tire size to 285s or 315s. My rational side is saying stick with 265s and stock suspension but my motorhead brain is saying SAS Dana 60 and 315s

In case you don't know, the " profile" of the tire casing is a percentage of the tread width. I have 265/ 75 16 on my K2500. The tread is 10.43 inches, 75 percent is 7.82 and tire DIAMETER is 31.65 inches. It's not somuch as " oversize" tires as whats the diameter? It's the diameter of the circle not how wide it is. The oe tire size for my truck. 245/ 75 16. And a diameter of 30.47. So i run a little taller tire. My stock 14 bolt is 3.73 posi. So a larger tire acts like the rear gear is now as example 3.65. ( not accurate, example only) . Does that help with the tire size question? I run a little wider for better traction in off road situations. And whether you run a taller than OE diameter or shorter it also affects the speedometer indication. Taller tire indicates lower than actual groundspeed. Shorter tire speedo indicates higher than actual ground speed. Questions?

35 inch tires =2214rpm 35's = 2500rpm and will tow anything you hook to it.

This is what I have run in the past 2500 4x4 Burb with 80E, 454 vortec and 35's. Perfect combo in my opinion.
