Both are K3500 duallies. One is for working, the other… Guaranteed the SAS c&c will out work the IFS standard.
Would love to have either, so plan is to build my c&c like the bright red, with the burgundy truck’s grille.

Ask any OBS Ford owner what the secret is to their 120 hp 300 I6 towing 27,894 lbs uphill with crushed glass in the crankcase for oil?

At any rate, seems like you're not asking for a one time, down the road deal, but more like a, I want to live the Hot Shot life and do this down the highway all day deal.

In which case, you not only need a bigger truck, you need a way newer one.

If I were towing 15k, everyday, on freeways, through cities, for a living, I wouldn't do it with anything less than a 2015 or so diesel 1 ton, whatever brand tickles your fancy.

If you're just saying 11-15k because it sounds cool, or seems like more than you need, take a realistic look at what you're really towing and how often. My 18', all steel car trailer weighs 1860 lbs, and even my diesel 4x4 4runner is under 6k. Any full size truck ever made will easily tow my trailer and any one of my other trucks.

Are you serious? I look at this way. A heavy weight take off , is based on max performance of three engines on a four engine cargo aircraft. What's the worst condition that could occur at normal take off? Losing one engine. If regular fuse cord burns at 12 inches per minute and I need 5 minutes to be in a safe zone, I'm using 6 feet. You see a theme here?
Just because it could be done , doesn't mean it's the best plan. Or the safest plan. I grew up on farming and ranching. I don't see anyone around here breaking tractors in half. Or lifting from objects from wrong or side of crane then falling over. Nobody riding on top is Amtrak and falling off. Or leaning out cars getting head or body parts chopped off.
indo Asia probably leads the world in Darwin numbers statistically.
Yeah, no thanks.
Lol definitely not serious

You can pull stupid amounts of weight. You just can't maintain control in a dicey situation with a 1/2 ton truck.
And no matter which god or gods you invoke, that jackknife just keeps coming on, as you careen thru that red light.
I somehow merely stained my drawers.

I have a 98 K1500 5.7L with 4L60e trans.
What are all things I would need to take into account, to increase the tow capacity I would like it to be at least 10-15,000lbs.

Sell it and buy a 1 ton. You're never gonna that weight towed safely with a half ton.
And even if you manage to swap the frame axles brakes transmission you can't get past the factory rating of your truck.
If you need to tow that much and a lot of time i suggest a diesel

Weren't those engines nutless turds that liked to blow up? Kinda like the 6.5s bigger brother?
No you are thinking of the 8.2L V8 Detroit aka Penny Pincher aka POS especially with a turbo from the 80s. The 8.2Ls could not keep the head gaskets in them NA and yet Detroit still decided to add a turbocharger without a wastegate to them. The Cat had a few issues but they are a very reliable heavy duty Catepillar built I6 diesel.
