Does GM still make OBS door shells? I don't even know...

If not, I wouldn't put anything on but a GM door, new or used. If GM still makes them, that wouldn't be too bad.

Aftermarket body panels are great for wood-haulers and "someone else's truck" ...and sometimes ya get lucky and the fit will be spot-on. But that's the exception not the rule. Most owners don't really know good fit from not ..except in extreme cases. But if you're picky...stick to GM panels (new or used).

I put CAPPA-Certifiied fenders on my tk this summer and even then, one of them fit pretty well in terms of alignment (but not as good as a GM fender), and the other one, I had to cut several spot welds, pull the outer metal 'out' and re-weld...to get the door/fender alignment nice. I was going to buy GM take-off rust-free fenders, but I already had the fenders from a while ago. Looking back I wish I had.

I'll say it again.... from what I see, it's an easy repair as-is ..to a guy who calls himself a 'bodyman'... If ya do it right there'd be very minimal filler).

If it makes you feel better, my Mrs did that to a Co-worker's truck too...a long time ago. It was a little snowy out and she came in little 'hot' around the corner. She felt terrible. He was cool about it. Damage was real similar to yours but more to the front of the door & got into the front fender a bit. Those panels are a lot easier to pull out than people realize. Most shops nowadays are content to spend a boatload of time prepping new panels when they could often do better repairing what's there.

I had known her co-worker from company parties. I got along with him real well (so did she). He didn't want to pay whatever deductable he had. He knew I did Classic's. I worked it out with him ...repaired the door/fender, repainted (& blended) to match. I fixed a couple other easy spots on his truck that were starting to look scuzzy and daubed some paint on some chips and buffed it all out...and shampoo'd the seat (to sweeten the deal) and tossed all his junk (in the truck) in a box..and cleaned it up. It looked a lot nicer when he got it back. He was more than tickled pink. Course I have bodyshop experience, that helps. We had something to laugh about at xmas and summer company parties after that.
Great story.
Nice of you to throw in all that extra
