I've always loved the BFG’s numerous sets in lots of different trucks. Got 60k off one set in my 96 back with the first KO. Now that I have a family BFG’s are out. Lot so of guys are running the new Falkens and getting great results off road and high mileage on road. Just my .02

You know, I have been reading up on the new Falken Wildpeaks and people say they are similar to BFG's, but way cheaper. I might go with those instead of the BFG's, but I like the beefier look of the BFG's more than the Falken's. I guess it will all depend on what I have for cash in the future.

I have a set of the BFG KO2's on my truck and they are great. Real quiet, good in the wet or on gravel. Really great in snow, too.

Just my $.02 but I’m running stock size Hankook Dynapro ATM’s on my 90 and love them so far. My old two wheel drive didn’t spin a tire once last winter (had a quad in the bed for weight) and have been good on the gravel and trails but also well behaved on the highway even when wet.

I used to run BFG's and loved em, but then it went to their head. My old man had them on his truck too and liked em, before he lost his truck in the flood of '06 lol. I have Falken's on my Tundra and LOVE them!!! Truck is lifted, running 35x12.5x20s Wild Peak AT. Pics online don't do these tires justice. I took a chance buying these, and glad I did. They are quiet, handle great, don't offroad this truck so can't say how they do in the mud, but are great in the snow. Not sure how many miles on them so far, but doesn't look like any wear so far. Guessing 6-7k so far. Hopefully won't need tires for a while, but will get these again. I paid $1200 for mine mount, balance, and tire disposal.

I thought the Falkens were supposed to be cheaper than the BFGs? The BFG KO2s my dad got recently were just barely over $800 mounted and balanced.

EDIT - Just realized I'm not sure what size we're talking about, the KO2s we got for my dad's truck were 265/75/R16.

Thought I'd share some of my research (for those who don't want to ;) ):
For Falken Wildpeak AT LT265/75r16's --- $155.25
For BFG KO2 LT265/75r16 --- $187.99

Some calculations for those who are considering the Falkens vs KO2:
$32.47/tire cheaper to buy Falken's than KO2

Falken total w/o tax --- $622.08
KO2 total w/o tax --- $751.96

That is $129.88 cheaper! That's quite a bit, so in theory, you could buy 5 Falken's for the price of 4 KO2's, which is nice considering those who need a new spare tire.

Just thought I'd share that tid bit of information. :)

No bad choice with any of those 3. My wifes 03 burb has 285 G2s and my 06 and 98 have the bfgs in 285s. The G2 is the least aggressive of the 3 but still a great tire, hers have close to 50k miles on them and will probably last another 10k. I'll probably go back to toyos on the 06 when the time comes, had their 295 M/T and loved them. 98s getting intercos.
