I did think about it, but with the bed attached it was going to be tough, and I was getting cranky! I may take it out at some point when the bed comes off for paint. Maybe. I'm scared of losing too much structure having SMC bedsides. Don't want them cracking.
True, I’ve got fleet-sides only in my fleet. My beds gross underneath so I didn’t feel terrible about it.

On my 91 RCSB, 4/6, the Belltech kit had these spacers for the transmission.

thanks for the reply, I have the belltech drive line kit that lifts the trans and carrier bearing. it also included 4 degree shims which belltech said is kind of a guess and every truck is different. Its still off some so just trying to get it closer, my bad I should've included that

All good man....shoot them an email. They were pretty quick in response to my question regarding my install.

I called and they said take it to a transmission place. lol. They said it was most common size they used but every truck is different so I may need a different shim. I'll try a 6 or 8 degrees. if that doesn't work I will tuck my tail and take it somewhere. thanks

It’s a pretty straightforward job to measure the angles. You can use your phone as an angle guide. Should be able to get whatever shims you need on Amazon.

This guy has a great video explaining angles.

Then I put one of these in my Amazon shopping cart

Doing that reminded me that my iPhone has one built in so I used that and got what I needed

I’ll still buy one of those small digital ones. They seem like they’d be really handy.

I have the Klein tools digital gauge. It’s real handy! And pretty affordable.
