Redneck upholstery with foam and black canvas from Michaels. Lid trimmed and 4 switch box bolted to side. Switches for Horn, backup camera, front camera, and eventual light bar. Or rocket launcher, haven't decided yet.

Here's a few photos of a Cadillac Escalade Console and lighting upgrade that I did recently on my 1998 C1500. SEM paint was used to change the console from beige to gray and the armrest from beige to black. Very pleased with the results.

I have the same issue. I have to hit it side to side side it eventually will fold down. I'd love to find a resolution. I first thought something was binding the hinge, but I couldn't find anything.

Diy floor console from all recycled materials except the rear camera screen. Leather is from old recliner, speakers were given to me as well as the usb outlets, even the wood,nails,and screws were from stuff laying around the shop.
