BOOO!!!!! Most folks i know would be going the other way. Filter access on the K models is still easier than my MIL's '02 4runner. And cleaner to remove.

I'm tuned in here to see what the oil looks like with each change. Hoping to get to do this myself one day.
I would like to build a SAS’d suburban one day, but that’s at a lower priority to the bagged suburban I want to build :superhack:

I want to see how the oil changes change also, I’ve never had a new engine in anything before.

Looks to me like most of the big junk is paint or gasket material maybe. A few metallic specs big enough to to pick up with my fingers but mostly just the usual tiny stuff. (Some of the bigger pieces could very well be from the disassembly of the filter)

(How do I get the ability to add more than 5 photos per post like some other members?) :893karatesmiley-thu

Anyways… @fancyTBI was extremely generous in his offer to make a treasure yard run for me. I am much grateful.

He sent me that thing in the middle of the grille I was missing. I put that in today along with this really nice bow tie he sent me from his collection. :patriot::patriot:

He sent me a few more bits and bobs that I’ll get around to installing sometime :lazy:

Thanks again man :waytogo:

No problem! Glad they are already being put to use.

Queso, I’ve got a pair of These Baja Designs square auxiliary lights with their “wide/cornering” lenses. I had them on my bike and would like to use them on the truck.

I’m thinking about mounting them under the mirrors.

I am very happy with the output and beam pattern, just not sure if this is a fog light kind of truck, I’m reluctant to cut up the new air dam.

Maybe behind the grille next to the turn signals, or top of the hood like a yeep. :p

They would like super nice recessed/flush in the bumper, but only if I didn't have to do any work. :)
No kidding! That kind of precision stuff makes me nervous. I could spend an entire day with lasers and tape measures, laying out everything perfect. Have someone else verify everything, then I’d cut it out crooked…
