I can tell from my research that this is a well conversed topic, however between 20 years of forums and tech changes I couldn't find and answer that makes me feel confident.

-For starters I understand that I'm going to be barely getting 8-10 horsepower maybe from doing both the manfiold-tbi spacer as well as the injector spacer itself. My truck already has upgraded exhaust, with a 2 1/2 inch y pipe dumping into a 3 inch pipe. I have a freshly upgraded and rebuilt 700r4 that runs great, and junky 3.08 rear gears which i will be changing in the future. I run 275s on vintage 15 inch AR rims. My motor is sort of a mystery as to if its stock, but it runs great and only leaks a little oil from the manifold. It doesnt burn oil and has great pep to it. When I rebuild it in the next few years im gonna do all that good stuff like a cam, better intake manifold, and doing some head work on the tbi heads (I'm super anti vortec, worked on them stock between a 1999 Yukon and a 1998 tahoe and they are super unreliable, i also don't want to mess with the intake manifold fiasco)
-I'm adding these spacer plate items because I'm already taking the tbi off to rebuild it, as i have a bad injector that's just puking fuel in with no spray pattern.

-My most important question is the following: what changes geometry wise does the tbi spacer add? Do i simply just bend or loosen and readjust the fuel lines, and then reset my tv cable linkage? Does the tv cable bracket need some sort of spacer? If so where do I find one. I'm mostly concerned about the TV linkage, as I cant tell if i just need too press the button and let it readjust itself, or if the bracket needs to be lifted entirely.

-My next question is what tbi spacer do yall recommend, I've seen all sorts on eBay, some with separate ports, some with open ports, and some with separate swirl ports. whats the best? Im pretty set on the injector spacer as they are all the same and easy to find.

Please provide links to such parts if you can, and I appreciate yalls help!!!

Airaid was the best one to get back in the day. It had two holes and they had a twist machined in them.

I can’t remember having to adjust the TV cable, there should be enough slack. Same with the fuel lines.

Honestly the Transdapt oval open center was the best one to get. I actually converted one of those gimick shaped swirl inducing "Poweraid" spacers to an oval with tapered bores to mate a 454 TBI unit to an unbored small block manifold. I cut the center out and used a carbide bit to smooth it all out by hand. Not perfect but it worked alot better than it did to start with.

I seen a test that was conducted with or without a TBI spacer well it wasn’t worth it.

The open center was definitely worth it especially with the 454 TBI and air cleaner on top. Collectively they increased my power from 178 whp to 204 whp and pushed the torque up over 300 wtq from a stock 8.75:1 1-ton 350 long block. It continued making power another ~800 rpm. Also keep in mind my stock 97 L31 made 185 whp and 250 wtq on the same dyno in similar weather conditions. With just bolt on parts and tuning that TBI 350 was running hard and making good power for what it was.

Would I just have to buy 454 injectors to convert my tbi?

I’ve seen some posts over the years of people burning up their 700r4s afterwards but I’m not sure if that’s cause their stock one was ok the way out anyway or what
