Hey all so i need some opinions on what to do. I am building up my 92 sierra and have rebuilt the engine on a stock rebuild. I wasn’t anticipating doing that but scored cylinders walls forced my hand. Because of that I was kind of rushed to get it running and didn’t really think it through that I wanted to add go fast parts. Should’ve done it while she was opened up , but here we are . Oh well

So my question is which is the better route to go for a daily driver that I plan on doing Vortec heads a mild cam and some shorty headers? Should I got with the pro flow 4 setup or should I keep the oem?

If keeping the oem I would upgrade to a spr performance tbi bored out unit. Cam wise I’d probably go to an xe259 as to not upset the computer much. If I went pro flow maybe a 262xe.

That's fine, stick with the TBI.

You can run both with your 46mm TB but, I'd strongly suggest going to a roller cam IF/Big IF, your 92 block has the bosses for one. Otherwise, I'd still think about going with Link-Bar roller lifters. :33:

Can’t go roller, block is not equipped

Yeah, later model TBIs didn't have them. IDK when the cutoff was. My Mr Goodwrench 350 (made in Meh Hee Co) had them and it was cast somewhere ~2000 so, it's kinda a crap shoot.

I'd do the pro flow 4 in that case probably. I don't have a pf4, but have strongly considered it and probably will one day.

I don't like that it's only got 1 o2 sensor and that you definitely have to do a little work to the fuel system, but it's pretty much self contained and easy looking to get running good enough with 0 previous experience.

Except it is not good running at all. Loads of drivability issues and zero programability to it.
