you may be right on the mirrors, the 95-98 mirrors have a smooth back and these looked to me like they have a contour on the back but it maybe just the glare

I figured the carpet to be a cheap aftermarket part over vinyl. I also notice that some of the black items look textured.... that shouldn't. The tires and the top of the core support, for example.... the tires look like they may be weathered, and the core support and engine may have been sprayed with clear coat instead of armor-all.

It's a nice truck, certainly better than what you would typically find around here.... and new trucks are SO expensive now.

I wish I could go back in time and buy my truck over again.... and bring it back to 2020.

I’m with you 100%, and as popular as the “reboots” of movies and other pop culture from the 80s and 90s is these days, youd think there’d be a decent market for GM to start a throwback line of old body styles with new technology...kind of like what Dodge has done with the Charger and Challenger (which based on my 2.5 hours of daily commute seems to be quite popular) and what Ford is doing with Bronco...they already have all of the tooling and specs for the body, just put the old body on a new chassis and I’d buy 2 tomorrow

I stumbled upon this custom 1996 silverado ext cab stepside at the salvage yard today. Looks like it was a nice show truck in the early 2000s.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I agree, GM should bring back the K5 Blazer. On an actual frame, not a crossover.

Wow, that definitely is unique! I like it. If only GM would've continued the green interior after the squarebodies, actually looks really good.

That's what I was thinking. It was a very well done color change! I honestly thought about grabbing the tailgate for the 94 stepside as grandpa accidentally backed into a pole with the tailgate down a few years ago. Figured a "heartbeat of america" tag would look good there.
Did any of yall notice the 2 pop up windows on the roof?

Those have a name.... they're called sunroofs :)

No I didn't notice them. I was actually just thinking about that style a few days ago, that tilted up instead of sliding back. Great for ventilation, but don't let the sun beat down on top of you, so much.
