If it's too much work to unscrew a plug every 3000 miles, you might want to turn in your wrenches and sub it out.

I’ve used a Fumoto drain valve on a few of my vehicles in the past without any issues. All of these cars were pretty much slammed to the ground and I’ve never encountered any problems or leakage. The valve also come with a locking plastic tab to prevent the valve from opening. Additionally, the mechanism is also spring loaded to essentially lock the valve in the close position.

Does it come with a crush washer?

It's a o ring. I have the exact same valve.
