OE steel wheels on 1988 K3500 SRW with OE black nutcaps...

This truck is low mileage and never sees salt, so the wheels look great after 26 years.

It sees duty only during planting and harvest season.

I think those are "styled steel wheels" according to the brochure....
This is from the 1996 C/K Brochure:

Steel/Rally  That’s exactly what I have on mine.

Didn’t you just buy a set of 454SS wheels?

IMO, those steelies are ugly.

Oh you fancy!
Yes’ I did but didn’t want to invest in tires for them atm.. I got them worn no tires and not sure they are what I want long term .. I’m sitting on them for now
I hustled a trade and deal wit a friend and suspected for the time being the steelies would at least be useable to get the drop done . I’ve figured out since the post they do take 1-1/2” trim rings

I did get ss wheels , they’re not being invested in tires yet because I’m not so sure of the long term desire to keep them due to some of the chrome condition.

The steelies Of course they are ugly , I agree I thought they were a rally just missing rings . I don’t know why I thought that but when I noticed the cap difference I suspected maybe it was just a different type of rally wheel . For the price and barter I got them as they look , they are old , the intent was to clean them up and re-spray and find trim rings …the main reason I got them was new tires included in addition to a set of djm spindles that I once owned that are still new that was handed back and included.. which I needed,
