Square body stepside on OBS

Am looking for any tips/tricks for swapping a square body stepside onto my OBS. I've seen older trucks with the OBS sportside, but not the reverse. Have purchased a stepside bed and am weighing if I should move forward and fabricate fitting the bed onto my obs or purchase an OBS sportside bed, remove the fiberglass fender panels and fit older fenders on it. I am leaning on using the OBS box and fitting square body fenders on it. Welcome any suggestions. Thanks.

Suggestions? Have someone good w/photoshop give you an idea what it would look like before going to the trouble. I can't see it looking very good at all, but it's your truck. For the record I think the GMT400 stepside beds look terrible on older trucks, too. The styling, body lines, and wheel openings don't match.
