Was on Amazon looking at lighting, and found these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M9BKHKG/ref=dp_cerb_2?th=1

Hmm... :hmm: Not sure if these would be worth buying...

Like Bill said, wrong size. The W/T grilles are 5"x7", and the quad sealed beams are smaller than 4"x6".

Also the reflectors in those are a sure fire recipe for blinding traffic, you can tell just by looking at them. They look just like the reflectors in an LED light bar or flood cubes. No direction, just throw light everywhere.

EDIT - Here's the TruckLite 5"x7"s that we've linked to a bunch of times. If you really want to do LED headlights, you're going to want a reflector that looks like this from a reputable company. (TruckLite, GE or JW Speaker)

I was also thinking they would be blinding, reviews were saying they had nice cut off line, yeah right . Just thought I’d ask about those before spending $80 on something I’ll regret. :)

I have checked out those Truck Lites before, they are pretty cool looking. I saw LMC has something similar to those, not sure if they are the same or not, LMC ones have an LED DRL, but they are over $450 for the pair.

here is another good company....and it promises to be DOT and SAE compliant:

https://www.amazon.com/Headlights-Headlamp-Headlight-Wrangler-6053(2Pcs)/dp/B07BWBRDJ5/ref=asc_df_B07BWBRDJ5/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241932433092&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14194873589071941120&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9005290&hvtargid=pla-465193922052&psc=1

EDIT: I do not know this manufacturer. I do know that Osram is a good company. I'll be doing more research on these.

Where'd you find these Bill? Do you know who actually makes them? They say Osram "chips" but I can't find a manufacturer anywhere. I'm always a little skeptical of the cheaper 5"x7" LED housings and these are crazy cheap. My theory is that China is producing copies of popular designs of these LED headlights. I've seen it happen with lots of other things. These look like they could be a copy of something... I can't quite place it, though. My first thought was an older JW Speaker design but I can't find it now.

As an example of what I'm talking about, check these out. They look just like the $300 TruckLites, but they're $90. Claim DOT/SAE compliance, just like the TruckLites.

I found them on Amazon whilst searching for something else......and then I read more carefully as you did, hence the EDIT.....If I were able to ride or drive behind LED's, I'd go, without a doubt, with J. W. Speaker myself......Their "adaptive" lights for bikes are hands down the best LED lighting in the world for motorcycles......and I spoke with the engineer at a Harley trade show.

I'll let it be known that personally I have nothing against the cheap Chinese copies of popular products if they function the same as the originals, but that's a big "if." Typically the Chinese manufacturers don't pay as much attention to sourcing quality parts as the original manufacturers do. Quick reminder though, the Spyder and Anzo composite housings that we recommend all the time are also Chinese made. It's not all good, and it's not all bad. I'd just caution anyone looking at this stuff to be careful. Depending on the specific product and seller, if you buy Chinese you could end up with garbage or the deal of the century. If you buy the more expensive part from the original manufacturer, it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll receive well built stuff.

What is the difference between these two Anzo housings?

https://www.amazon.com/USA-111004-C...-----------1&vehicleName=1997+Chevrolet+K1500

https://www.amazon.com/USA-111136-C...-----------1&vehicleName=1997+Chevrolet+K1500

I do not see a difference, except two different part numbers, and one has bulbs in the pic and one doesn't.

My Spec-D Tuning housings with glare caps are frustrating me because the left/right adjusters are complete ****. I had super glued some torques bits to the adjusters to see if they would work without using pliers, definitely a no-go. I heard the super glue cracking.

I will be going back to Xtreme-visions (I honestly didn't notice a big difference between HIR and Xtreme-visions. I have a plow wiring harness for the lights, I don't know if that is like the HD harness or not), and should've gone with Anzo housings to begin with. I had gotten Anzo housings for my grandpa's truck and they have the best light pattern I have seen and adjusted well.

I always wondered about the difference between those two housings as well. I run the 111004s in both of my trucks, but I threw away the bulbs that they came with. They were very dim.

I have noticed that with housings that already come with bulbs as well, they don't seem to be very good.

I'll probably get the ones you have on your trucks, and since that pair is $2 cheaper. :)
