Slip or no slip, what's normal?

I never bothered with the Nickel plated yokes. Apparently, they only work for short bit and the problem eventually comes back reading some forums. Plus, I think they spendy, IIRC. There's lot of other things folks have done to try to fix the issue. There's one guy that inserts a ball in there...

The nickel is very thin, and probably wears off.

Happy to report that the issue has been resolved. The shop gave me a quote of $688 to replace the yoke and u-joints. They cleaned the yoke up and found that it has a groove worn in it. This was causing the issue. I did not have the shop do the work but remembered some local yards and headed there. I located a very good condition yoke, brought it and replaced. Slipped easily.
