Slight engine noise

Replaced oil cooler gasket, dropped pan and replaced gasket, oil change and filter. Reassembled and the noise is there. Idk what else I could have touched. Found a small ring in the pan, almost looked like a dip stick tube spacer?

How about a pic of the piece that you found in the pan. Changing a gasket and the oil is not going to make an engine noise go away. A good description of the noise might help.

Did the noise appear after you replaced those parts or were you trying to get rid of a noise by replacing those parts?
