Yea, if I’m not sitting in traffic it’s usually 2 hours to the 610 split.
When we used to go to Lafayette for the Bayou Roundup, it could take 4 1/2 to 6 hours, definitely depends on traffic, construction and stops. Last of those shows was in 2019, we went in Burb with no trailer (just loaded to the headliner!) and iirc it was 5 hours of drive time, from Stafford on the SW side of Houston, to the venue. There was construction on I-10 from Beaumont to the Sabine, so once we got to the LA side of the bridge, we went to the Welcome Center and walked around the place a little while, to destress! We'd left around midnight so there was less traffic, and had time to stop at a couple of Walmarts in Crowley and Jennings too.
If you know how to get around Houston, and don't mind driving the freeways, it's possible to get across town quickly especially at certain times of the day. But at the wrong times, it's like a large part of the 6-7 million people in the metro area, are on YOUR freeway....

FedEx is the worst around here. The lazy ***** that delivers here really pissed me off the other day. She left a package containing expensive clock parts out in the yard, in the rain with no protective bag on it. The doorstep is 30' away.
I agree…FedEx is the worst.
