SBC350 with 4l80 Transmission

My transmission just went out on my 1992 c2500 automatic 2 wheel drive. I’m planning to do an ls swap some time in the not so near future but I wanted to know if I can use a 4l80 with my 350 small block? I don’t have an engine at this time for an ls swap but I figure if I have to buy a tranny might as well start prepping for the swap. Is it just a plug and play solution?

I was planning to just get a 4l80 (if I can find one) not a 4l80E. Would i still need a harness?

All 4L80 transmissions are electronic. They didn’t make a non-electronic version I believe.

No such thing as a 4L80 without the E. GM renamed the TH400 3L80, but all the 4L80's were E's.
Standalone controllers are becoming more reasonable.
