A little more caster is going to be a good idea. We like 6+ degrees if you can make it work. No matter what I'd look for 2-3 more than the 2 you have. That may calm the steering down a little since it should help it keep itself going straight.
And that thing looks amazing!
Thanks! I ordered some WFO shims and I’ll give 6 degrees a shot and report back. So far, that’s been the most substantial drivability challenge.

The brakes are awesome, much better than stock, but the e brake is a bit weak. The el dorado discs do work, but so far I can’t say they have great holding power as an emergency brake. Perhaps I’ll do a roll control/hydraulic e brake eventually to supplement the E-brake.

Looks sweet. Nice to see a good example and feedback of a finished swap.
Thanks, overall pretty happy with it. I’d prefer to have less elevation, but the crossover steering really requires at least 4-5” of lift to clear the frame with reasonable uptravel.

Just an update! The 6 degree shims improved the drivability, but unfortunately put the u joint in a bind at the front axle, so I’m stuck at about 2 degrees caster.

The soft/wandery front end was improved substantially by re-installing the stock sway bar. I bought some generic Heim joints, some 1/2” bolts and clevis pins allowing me to remove it for off-road use. Really made it much more drivable and very easy to install. I’d love to eventually find a method to do a remote disconnect but for now, this works.
