Put some time into trimming and fitting the salvaged hood's leading edge of the roof skin to fit the cab. Quite a bit of patience went into this, I'll give it a one more look over and begin to prep the interior section for paint. Then it's time to weld!

Welded up the roof skin, ground it all flush and prepped the entire ‘top’ of the cab from firewall to rear glass for paint

scrubbing it clean, grinding it down, epoxy primer, cab mounts and bumper brackets

Finished up the filler work on the roof, threw down three coats of epoxy over it then got the cab flipped over with the help of few good friends

Got a windshield installed today! Probably not in the correct order of events but with paint and all but I’m really happy with the result.
Finally installed the compass/temp rear view mirror that I’ve had in a box for many years

Doing a bit of sitting and staring at the project this morning, trying to get things in order. The windshield looks great and really amps up the motivation to keep moving forward.

I cleaned up all the ecoat off of the replacement rockers and cab corner steel then sprayed four coats of epoxy primer on the inside of everything. The outer floor/backing plate area was replaced by me a few months back, I cleaned up the ecoat there as well and will epoxy prime that once the metal work is acceptable. It's almost time to join it all together.
