Running boards

Runnin boards, nerf bars, side steps whatever. Anyone have factory Tahoe z71 bars? I may be able to get a set at the yard (and a few other tahoe only pieces). My folks are worried about the side steps on their escalade and dont want to break them since my moms short and has to use them to get in the truck. So the z71s bolt into the frame? Ill be taking off the caddys plastic steps if i do it.
