RPM and Speedometer goes to 0 when driving

300k on body and engine ,rebuilt trans at 265 ,plus did trans oil and filter at 295k ,I can shift it manually or restart it and it will be registers rpm and speed but won't shift until I manually put it in 1st but it's in 2nd and then I can shift up to 3rd won't go into Overdrive. , scratching my head ,..i see ignition wiring harnesses ,I see solenoids in trans ,wire off coil?

I think people will need a lot more information to be able to help you on this. Year, model, trans type/model, are you having both transmission and speedo problems? Please explain a little more.

Sounds like power or ground problem going to your instrument panel.
Can't tell much more without year and model.

Your 4L60E is in limp mode...start with checking the trans fuse. If that's fine, check the harness going to the transmission for damage; check all relvant grounds. Make sure you're getting voltage from the PCM by testing the external harness connector. If no issues found there, drop the pan and continuity-test all solenoids. Inspect the harness for damage, exposed wiring, etc...

Report back with your findings.
