Damn that's a scary crack I'll have to see if that is rust or something bigger.

Is that a crack or a spider web? I would have said a crack at first too, but it appears to extend from the nut, which a crack wouldn’t do.

This is the bracket GM used to mount a 4.3 in these trucks. With it gone I can now mount normal 350 or in my case 454 motor mounts.

Ok everything stripped down one more time thru pressure washer to really clean things up. I did remove wiring harness as plan is to swap whole other harness over. As I'd rather not have to cut and spice.

Removing the wiring harness from donor. The red and blue one ran the 4.3 the black one ran the 454. I'm sure the computers have a name I just don't that info.

Taped everything and labeled and to try and keep it super easy I removed block as well.

Taking my time got the harness out and lay. Once I move the 4.3 I'll get to unbolting this bad boy. And with nothing but free time on my hand think it time to really get going on this

Took out front body mount boots out and raised front about 5 inch's. This looks like enough to get all engine tranny bolts.
