Thanks, Nick! I just watched the whole video - made my ass pucker! I probably would have been better off just repairing my old one and burn it up after a while, then take it to you! Could've saved ~$2300 (including delivery) on our Nemesis. :flame:
You're welcome, @PlayingWithTBI! Yes, that thing started to piss me off from the first bolt taken loose and didn't let up, lol!

Sure wish I was close enough to Vegas to go the route you took.
I do offer shipping via my freight accounts, if that would be of interest to you. LMK and I'll send you a PM.

All:

There will be at least two-three more videos on this unit including, but not limited to:

> A follow up on the tear down w/a closer look at some of the parts inside, damaged sustained and so-forth
> A start-to-finish installation of the Transgo 700-R4 2&3 Reprogramming kit, including everything that goes into the VB, forward drum and elsewhere in the transmission
> Build strategy video showing all the parts acquired and to be installed into the transmission (there's quite a lot of them, lol!)
> Pump stator support repair (this one failed it's vacuum testing at the pressure regulator valve location which means the company doesn't test it's pumps or does and has a much lower standard for what's serviceable)

DISCLAIMER: :deal:
There was a miscommunication between us - the trans only had ~10K miles on it, which made this even worse! The Deep Sump pan came with the trans as an option. With that, it took 16 Quarts of fluid to fill. I did change the fluid at ~2000 Miles but, didn't bother with the filter since it was nice and clean on a white cloth. That pan has a drain plug so, I NEVER SAW THE FILTER WITH NO EXTENSION, IT CAME THAT WAY FROM THE BUILDER!

I'm going to chalk this up to an expensive lesson learned - some stuff you just don't cheap out on!

You'll be running filters for later 4L60-E's with the deep pan.
Can't believe the builder did that.
You may have a well documented law suit for the original cost of the tranny and what it's gonna cost you to make it the high performance tranny they charged you for to begin with. I'm guessing your gonna have close to 6 grand in both builds. That ain't chump change!

The builder states in their warranty, it must be returned to them, unopened, for evaluation of any claim (or some such language). I'm not gonna bother wasting my time (or Nick's testifying) and money on this. I figure, the best I can do is warn others and eat it.

If I sent it back with my original issue(s), they'd simply make it work, hope it goes out of the warranty period, and wash their hands of it. Then I'd have all that time, labor, and cost of sending this POS cross country instead of having a local (kinda) builder do right the 1st time, and move on.

Monster Transmission... Move over for the top spot in who is the worst transmission builder known to man! :321:

I had to pull mine a few months after having it because it would take about 4-5 seconds to shift into reverse. They put a new torque converter in it & was fine until December last year. Had to pay for shipping also, per their policy.

Thinking about that, they didn't even reimburse you for freight to and from their facility? Wasn't that the "free TC" they advertised? At least mine came with one.

BTW, Nick is rebuilding/replacing it too on my build. ;)
