Hey guys I'm new here. Im in the process of replacing my battery cables after replacing the transmission in my 88 K1500, i ran the positive down to the starter and the other end up to the battery. Wondering where the small cable connects to? Any help you can give me?

You talking about the wire that goes to the back of the alternator?

The wire that comes off my starter solenoid is connected in the junction box as a ground and there is no wire coming off the back of the alternator?
