It definitely makes a big difference. The stick on thin stuff is fine not covering everything unless you are also using it for heat protection. The thick stuff generally works better with no gaps. It’s difficult to say at this point. I would think the only difference I might be able to hear would be during a hard rain. However, the hood insulation I applied made a definitive difference in engine noise.Did the sound deadner make a difference? Did you pay to have your headliner recovered or did you do it yourself? I’ve done a few already but I’m looking at the headliner profile near the sun visors and I’m wondering if that will be an issue…Recently had my headliner and seat reupholstered. I wanted a seat that was more traditional and thicker than OEM. I also did not like the 40/60 design. Installed sound deadening on the roof before installing new headliner.
