Just came across this and wanted to share. I'll lead with: Dorman 722-008 is the correct rear leaf spring rear hanger for an '89 C2500 8,600 GVW

Wanted to lower the rear to level it out a bit before adding Air Lift load leveler bags. I originally ordered the Dorman 722-007 hanger but it is about an inch shorter and doesn't line up with the support bracket that comes off the bottom part of the frame rail. Dorman currently has the 722-008 as only listed for K-series trucks for it's the correct hanger for this truck.

1989 C2500, 8,600 GVW, Scottsdale, 5.7L, TH400, 9.5 semi-float rear end, standard cab, 8' bed

Hopefully this info helps someone out.

A note on lowering the rear: The stock/correct Dorman rear hanger does set the leaf spring about an inch lower than trucks that use the 722-007 hanger. I have 1" lowered BellTech springs in front and just installed the 4" BellTech Hanger/Shackle combo and the rear end still sits about 3/4" higher than the front (25 gallon tank is about half full and bed of the truck is empty). I guess one could cut off the support piece and use the 722-007 bracket to gain another inch, Just FYI.

This is a pic of the hanger:

722-007 on the left

Stock (to this model truck) one on the right which matches with Dorman part 722-008
