Got a 93 Sierra that’s a 5 speed manual. Whenever I shift gears, I hear a pretty loud clunk noise in my rear end, and something down there is also making a clicking noise when I take off in gears 1-3. Anyone else dealt with this or know how to fix it? Thanks

U joints, loading and unloading, Ring & pinion wear. 2 part drive shaft, center carrier worn, torn. Did not say what model? 2 X4, or 4 X 4? Clicking can be front CV worn or loss of lube, torn boots. Steel rally wheels can flex and trim ring make small squeek click sounds. That's the basics, have you done any?

I was going to suggest removing the driveshaft and spin the engine to confirm noise is coming from rear end.

If it is the rear end, it's not too difficult to check for ring gear backlash. Remove the differential cover. Maybe the G80 (if equipped) needs service.
