I did a rear disc brake conversion on my 2000 k2500 GMC. The kit I used came from a company named lugnut4x4. Has anyone here used these guys for this? I have soft pedal and dragging. Brakes were bled using abs tool many times by a shop I trust. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you change the master cylinder? I know some folks who convert to disc end up moving to the NBS master cylinder since they are designed to apply the correct pressure for a disc/disc setup vs the GMT400 master that are designed to apply pressure for a disc/drum setup.

There might be a residual pressure valve in the rear fluid circuit. I say "might" because I'm not certain; I'm just trying to give you a lead.

Take a look in the service manual, that might be a benefit. Manuals for 1998 and select other years are available in .pdf form online here and elsewhere.

Update: I looked through the 1998 manual (Section 5 - Brakes) and saw no reference to a residual pressure valve.

There's a "combination valve" in the brake circuit. With that thought in mind, check out this thread on GMT400 and note discussion about drum -> disc conversion.
