Im getting ready to replace the shoes again on my truck. Looking on rock auto there are 3 different sizes of shoes for it. Its a 95 k2500 with a 8 lug semi-float 14 bolt. Does anyone know the size of the shoes on the 8 lug sf? The sizes they list are 11-5/32, 13 inch and 11.16x2.75. I think the 11 inch ones are the same size just different brands listing the size a different way and I think the 11 inch ones are for the 6 lug 3/4 tons. Am i correct that the 13 inch are for the 8 lug ff and sf?

If you pull off one of the rear wheels, the diameter should be stamped or cast onto the outside of the drum.

They are 13" most likely. Open the glove box and find the RPO code for the brakes JB7 has 13" rear drum and 13 X 2-1/2 shoes

This is why I use local parts stores owned by local people. I pull the wheel with tape measure in hand and call for parts. They ask questions I give answers and a half hr. later a truck pulls up and hands me parts ,if they are wrong returns are 5 miles away. Also helping your community as the folks that work at and run the store spend the money locally.

Yes It has the Jb7 code. I was confused as to what it needed since I was seeing 3 different ones.

I do try to by locally as much as I can but when there is a big differnce in price I try to save as much as I can. Im not made out of money. 2 examples I had to replace a wheel bearing on this truck a little over a year ago. Locally was 260 dollars. Online it was 25 plus 10-15 dollars in shipping. I also had to rebuild the front end. All the ball joints tie rod ends and pitman arm would have cost me 4-500 dollars locally. Online was 150 again for the same brand. Would you spend an extra 200+ dollars for the same parts? If you would good for you I can't afford to do that. And where I live the local parts stores don't deliver to homes only businesses.

Thanks thats what i figured different manufactures posted the size differently. I have never been good at math past adding subtraction multiplying and dividing simple numbers.
