On the 88-94 pickups the proportioning (actually "combination") valve is external; it's the device in between the master cylinder and the RWAL controller. Has the single wire plugged into it (brake warning light.)
On 92-94 SUV's that were equipped with 4WAL there is still a separate combo valve like pictured, but not in the same arrangement since you guys have that huge Kelsey-Hayes 4WAL unit that is almost always bad by now.
95-up the 4WAL unit is smaller and the combo valve is built into it. No separate valve. To eliminate 4WAL on those trucks you'll need a combo valve from the 88-94 trucks or use an aftermarket one. Either way you always, always need a proportioning valve.
