Really weird misfire issue

I know it’s hard to read a thread when it becomes multiple pages but currently the correct 20amp fuse is in there, I did that before I replaced the cap and rotor. The cap and rotor is what caused the misfire code and the felt misfire to go away.

If I pull the fuse, it’s hard to start and I get a maf and cam position sensor code.

I still believe there may be a miss, just not enough of one to cause a code so that’s why the thread is still going so I can post up misfires soon as I get a scanner capable.

So the blown fuse may be what triggered the codes you reported in the initial post for MAP and cam position sensor.

The misfire code may have been around awhile on account of some other factor, like the cap/rotor.

Another reason the thread is still going is because you seem to have a latent problem that's going to blow that fuse... again.

IMHO it's time to pull out the DVM and/or a DC current clamp and start checking everything downstream from that fuse, looking for atypically high current draw for each device served, and measuring the baseline values for current draw for each as a matter of record. This isn't a complete list of activities, just the initial ones.

Btw this Menu is what you want to look at for your live misfire counts... you can see which pistons are missing to determine which route you want to take for repairs...
