If the box is the new fire controller wouldn't it eliminate the ECM and the spark control module in the distributor cap? I disconnected mine because I thought it was the problem. can I hooked this up at eliminate my brain? That's a question Apply put isn't it? Because if installing it it will be controlling the spark, correct? with the plug and play harness that I purchaseD for this Street fire MSD ignition Brand CDI Multi spark ignition. it plugged in straight to the distributor from the box and the coil. it makes the triangle OF FIRE. So why would it need the ECM? And I would also have a pulse signal for the injectors ? am I doing spinning my wheels ?anybody out there tell me differently please reply.

The ECM controls the timing. The spark box doesn't take it's place.

This lets you plug in the box without cutting any wires on your truck.
If the box fails you can just bypass it.
