Interesting that a 2wd would have the PS cooler but 4wd's don't have them much. I have 96 and 97 ECSB's Z71's, both have the tow package (which consists of the electrical connector in the rear and a receiver), they don't have a PS cooler. As I mentioned before I don't see them on GMT400's around here.

My 89 K2500 has the longer "cooler" type hose that snakes into the frame and back.

I still think it may be a hot climate thing? I think GM put in the hot fuel module for the same reason.
I'm in Nebraska but it doesnt get as hot as where your at and I know my 95 with the 6.5 is a NE truck not sure about the other 95. We do see 100+ days but they don't hang around much. Ill go out and see if my other one has a cooler or not.
