I have a 97 k1500 extended cab. Power locks stopped working when pressing either the passenger or driver side switch. The auto lock still works as does the factory keyless remote. I looked at the 5 different threads on power door locks but mine seems different. I watched a video of the circuit breaker and how to check that but if that was bad wouldn't the auto lock not work as well as keyless remote? Any help appreciated. Thanks

I couldn’t find a diagram for a truck, but on a two door Tahoe (it has a lock switch in the cargo area) the remote door unlock/lock receiver powers the actuators directly. It connects to the circuits downstream of the door lock switch and could, it seems, operate the locks independent of the condition of the door switch.

Door switches get power from fuse 13 (cigarette lighter). See if that’s blown.

I'll have to look at that fuse on my crew cab. The power locks on it don't work from either front door switch ( but the alarm will lock the truck!) Sometimes I have seen a fuse that looks good, the little loop appears to be unbroken, but I replace it and the thing that didn't work, now works.
