Got the wheels mounted and I am very pleased. Seems the perfect fit still have clearance everywhere. I need to get in on level ground in a few months to see if the front springs are going to settle. If not I will need to adjust rear height a tad with some added leafs and possibly new perches. I have a set of ORD zero rates so I could move the rear back and I’m happy how that lined up but I fear another leaf is going to raise it too much. With everything thawing out a bit I will get back to working the speedo troubletree and get it squared. It sucked under there with ice thawing and halfway drowning so I started on all the camp/bed lights. I plan to use these set up to where I can swing the pods out or straight back. I found a pretty good deal on a set of lights from Amazon. 4 pods and a light bar. All of the wiring is ran switches are good but want to make the pods adjustable. Me and mama get in at dark a bunch from fishing and I want something that will add some convince.

Camp lights are wired up and good. The fronts swing out for camp lighting or some fish cleaning if needed. Got er loaded up and hopefully can get it dialed in with new driveshafts. After that alignment and we should be in bidness.

Bet the neighbors loved the light show
I have awesome neighbors man. They haven’t complained over anything but it’s a give and take. If they need anything fixed they come to my place couple that with free BBQ it keeps me outta hot water.

Driveshafts are done and I couldn’t be more pleased. Clay at city driveshaft and performance was awesome to work with.
I have to fine tune a tiny bit. Under load and highway cruise it’s good but part throttle has a bit of vibe. I’m gonna do a WFO anti wrap bar for the rear and set pinion angle at whatever makes it happy. I was able to drive it 40 miles back to the house and I’d say that is a huge win. 2500rpm is about 65mph lol. She isn’t gonna win a race but should haul all my camping and fishing equipment without a struggle.
My makeshift alignment got me close enough and road manners are good. I shouldn’t need sway bars. It steers and stops way better than it did as a 2wd. The polyurethane bushings created a “little” more vibe than I expected and I will have to get used to that. Overall I dig it.

Fixed some of the vibe. I had a pretty decent idea where to start since I hadn’t gotten to them. Everything behind the engine was hard mounted with poly bushings so the engine mounts need to be also. I was able to knock those out yesterday and it made some difference. The old rubber ones were probably OE and came out in about 14 different pieces. I’m pleased that I still have room to park inside the garage and should be able to with 37s if I decide to go that route. I doubt it because I think I got a good setup for what I do.

Nice! Those double cardan joints weren't ever factory on GMT400s were they? I've only ever seen them on my Cadillacs.
