Finally wrapped up the steering. I had to start over and box the entire front section. I used 1/4” plate and slugged the mount points. Gonna finish weld a bunch of stuff this weekend put cotter pins in all the joints. After that shim the bell housing back about .060 to get the proper clearance on the throw out bearing. Whatever cleanup stuff I can figure out after that.

I have to add one kicker leg to each side of the rock rails then do the dimple die inserts and I can be done with them. I removed all of the fuel system to finish weld a bunch of crap. Now I have to decide whether to run a burb fuel tank or run the single stock with Jerry cans. I fabbed up the bell housing shim and the paint is drying on it.

Just curious maybe I missed it but why is the transfer case clocked? From what I can see it looks like a single Cardone shaft ? Also have you decided how your going to run a shifter or are you modifying the stock shifter?

The case lined up and I wasn’t completely happy with it. It seems low to me also but the next one up would require cutting floor not just clearance. Appreciate the kudos but honestly the mandrel kit I purchased made the exhaust not so bad. I had the exhaust in and out 4 times no more no less. I purchased a JB cable setup for the shifter. I had no idea on length and thought I would place the shifter on the drivers side but taint gonna work. I mocked it up on the passenger side and everything “seems” legit. If I beat the np208 up I am buying a 5.1 atlas and I will hog out the floor then.
It is a single cardone. I got it out of a 3/4 ton burb and everything bolted up. The slip works with no binding. I figure what I have will work for a bit but I will have this truck forever. We shall see how test and tune goes.
Thank you so much for the kind compliments.

yea if your talking about the JB custom fab shifters I’ve been running one in my truck for 4 years now with little to no issue . I had a little problem dialing it in the beginning but it works great no complicated linkage to worry about . I’d like to eventually run a twin stick but at the moment I don’t see the need. From what I’ve heard 208s are pretty stout . Probably more so than my 241 if it was a betting man. But you got the right idea an atlas would be great . Maybe when I blow this 241 out it will be time

The fuel system is rerouted. Starts and runs with no leaks. New filler neck hoses will be here tomorrow and I can finish putting all of it back in. Stoked with how it came out. I could have reused most of the factory lines but it was easy and quicker to just -6 everything. I mocked up and attached the ORD emergency brake kit. Seems like it is going to work well. I will get some decent photos of the install in the daytime. Hopefully I can keep this pace going for a bit.

I installed the ORD E Brake and it is awesome. Highly recommend to anyone doing a disc brake rear swap.
I am still waiting on my set to come in but the rest is plumbed. I started working on the bed rack.
The plan is to make it where I can haul my canoe/kayaks and still have the roof top tent underneath and functional. I would also like to be able to remove the tent when not needed. We will see how it develops but so far so good.

Rack is fully welded and some paint thrown on. I dig the fitment of the awning. The awning can switch side to side easily depending where it may be needed.
I will powder coat or professional bed line the rack eventually.
Roof top tent is mounted to the removable center section. Hopefully this week can open everything and see what all is good and what needs adjustment.
