You might be surprised by the number of "you'd be better off" suggestions that I hear.

Meanwhile, every one of these individuals are only thinking of the cheapest/easiest/laziest way of doing whatever they're suggesting.

They assume that something will be too expensive.

The veneer was $137.80. all of it.

The bead and cove walnut strip bundle was $96. 80 square feet and that's enough to make the top and sides of an 8 foot camper shell.

But Gulf coast residents will go and dump $3,400 on a set of 20 inch Chinese wheels at RNR tire that you can get, on eBay, for $700-$1,000.

(I worked at RNR tire, the mark-up is actually and likely an understatement, not an overstatement.)

I get it, but the recommendations are likely based on one's perspective driven by capability-finances, expertise etc. However, a data driven decision will get you the best answer.
