Good call on the Flowmaster 40 series. Im doing the same on my truck and it was the best sounding muffler i could find.

The truck has Flowmaster 40 on it now and it sounds great. But it’s rusted to hell, so I’m going to replace everything.

So spend the day taking off the original manifolds and managed to get the headers on. I recommend getting a topside creeper for doing this, especially with a lifted truck. Saved my back, especially since I had to chase the threads on both sides (on the 7 & 8 cylinders) used the Moroso 12 point bolts and copper never seize. I hadn’t taken the original Y pipe off yet, so I had to take a ratchet strap and fed it under a jack stand to allow the headers to sit in the correct places.

Next will be the remainder of the exhaust, as soon as I get the center pipe that was shorted in my order.
