Parking Brake Pedal Not Locking Down.

I have a 1993 C3500 was a 6.5 now a Carb 454


When you depress the parking brake pedal it will hold the truck but if you take your boot off it releases and goes up like a pawl or gear is stripped out.


Would be nice if it held the brake.

I have the same problem on my 88 dually, I think I am going to have to change out the parking brake assembly.

Where's your overhead crane .

No Overhead Crane Yet!! Shop is way to small.

Man the GM Farwall connectors are a PITA to get may have to remove and salvage.

I had a problem like this on my Jeep Comanche, there's a spring that breaks/comes off over time that holds the "gear" down so it locks. I would get down there and try to look while you press pedal by hand and see if you can see if the "gear" is engaging.
