paint getting rust like blotches from road de-icer ....

we don't get a lot of snow but when we do, these start appearing on my paint. look like rust spots but they're not.

anybody know how to easily remove them or what the hell they're putting in the road de-icer?

removal is brutal using my normal chemicals.

A clay bar will take those off quickly

What does the back side look like? You sure the back is not corroded and this is just the iron oxide migrating to the white paint because the base metal is consumed?

happens on the wifes new soobie too, its white also.
just started a little while ago, gotta be something in the road de-icer mix.

probably doesn’t effect EV’s

update, clay bar did the trick, still a work out thou.
