Little update on it all:

The drive line is in, with some major modification, the truck now is ready for an alignment and exhaust. The conversion to a 9.25 with 2500hd cvs, lowers, and spindles was a large headache. Ended up having to shorted the stock control arms by an inch to get the camber back to a reasonable range as the top edge of my tire was 2 inches out from the bottom.

The engine swap was no issue, although it is a tight fit with less than an inch between the firewall and valve covers.

Ended up having the get 2 new driveshafts cut to compensate for the driveline length differences.

Installed a 4x4 posilok to allow the front diff to unlock so that 2wd can be utilized on the highway to save on gas.

There is much more that has been done, and I can go into that if anyone is interested. Was also debating starting a YT channel to go through everything that has been done. Hopefully I’ll have exhaust on it soon and I can confirm if all of this is actually gonna work

I'd love for you to post more about that 9.25" swap. Not many have done it.

It was definitely the most difficult part and it not yet road tested so take this as you will. I don’t have exact measurements either, but I can take them if interested.

Lemme start by saying that you cannot do this a front diff out of a nbs. I believe 2000 is the last year 9.25 that has the correct mounting bracket.
The 9.25 I have was acquired on eBay and was out of an 87 k2500. This diff has the same mounting style as the 8.5 but it is larger so all mounting points have to be modified.

Again I can go into more detail for those interested but basically we fabbed new mounts that allowed the mounting points to be lower and farther towards the rear of the vehicle. For the the passenger side, we made plates that achieved the same
