Normal operation for aux cooling fan?

Just reading along guys. I can't think of any, but just asking the question...is there any detriment to wiring an aux fan to trigger off the AC clutch instead of the high pressure switch?

The only problem in any of this running when the AC runs, is the defrost runs the AC in winter too.

True, but winter here is 50 degrees. I dont exactly struggle getting to operating temps.

Ok, relay is installed. Wiring was super easy, and I found a handy AC clutch harness extension that I wired almost everything into. The advantage there is that none of the stock wiring is molested, except for the single tap into the temp switch wire. The fan comes on with the AC. Tough to tell if this makes a huge difference or not yet, but I'll have an opinion on that in a few days.
