Yes there are lots of options for 6 lug wheels now! When l got my old truck (50's GMC) 40 years ago there wasn't much to pick from. I got the 8 round hole aluminum GMC 4wd ones that resemble Alcoa Wheels, and the Grand Wagoneer alloy spokers and that was about it for cool factory rims other than the steel Chevy truck rally wheels.

Actually, '11-up GM 8 luggers don't use 8x6.5 anymore, they went to 8x180. Don't really know why they changed.

From what I've read they upgraded to beefier axles and went to the different bolt pattern because of that.

I'm hoping it's upgraded hubs/spindle more than axles shafts. The 11.5 originally used the same hubs as the 10.5" 14BFF, so you could have these huge axles tubes that tapered down to 10.5" parts.... never made sense to me, and that's one of the main reasons I've never really been thrilled with the 11.5" axle over the 10.5" 14bff.

Those Camaro wheels look great. Bummer on the change to black... j/k ;) I'm not a big fan of the black wheels thing, but it's obviously a popular trend!

I'm jealous of the OEM options you all have for the six lug rigs. Good looking trucks.

Yes. That. I would love to find some decent 8 lug take-offs for my 2500 Burb.
